Cas Valk and TM Moto Part Ways: Early End to a Promising MX2 Partnership
Hey race fans, it’s Paige Turner coming at you from BlueMoto.
Today we have news that Cas Valk and TM Moto have officially parted ways by mutual agreement after just a handful of rounds in the 2026 MX2 World Championship. The two-year project that started with high hopes has come to an early end.
According to TM Moto, the partnership began positively. Valk delivered a strong podium during the pre-season Internazionali d’Italia MX series. The 21-year-old Dutch rider brought real speed and promise to the CRD Motorsport team on the TM 250 FI MX. However, once the main championship races got underway, differences of opinion grew between the rider and the team. Both sides have now decided it is best to separate at this point.
Cas Valk has shown consistent talent over the years. After finishing 12th overall in the 2025 MX2 championship with Van Venrooy KTM Racing, with whom he parted ways at the conclusion of that season, he moved to TM with high expectations. In the early 2026 rounds, he achieved solid results, finishing between 10th and 16th place and holding a position inside the top 12 in the championship standings after races in Switzerland, Sardegna, and Trentino.
