Photo from the first round of the 2026 Mideast Harescramble Series on 2/8/26 in my hometown Tryon, NC. I had a great jump on the line and went into the woods in a solid 4th place. Unfortunately, I'm not in race shape and was not able to maintain that position over the course of the 2 hours and 14 minutes that I completed 5 laps in. I ultimately ended up finishing in 17th out of 35 in my class. I did accomplish my goal of finishing the race without getting hurt or damaging the bike. Not too shabby for someone who mainly rides hard enduro and hasn't raced in 14 years! I had a great time and hope to race a few more rounds this year.
